Let's wake up to a better tomorrow,
Where the world is free of terror,
Let happiness prevail; no room for sorrow,
Let's illuminate the world, where there's darkness never.
Our protectors have trampled on our faith,
It's time we bring a difference to this city,
There's still scope for recovery, it isn't too late,
We can achieve this with unabashed tenacity.
It's time to shine, to put things in place,
To create a better world, for our children to live in,
Let's unite for a change, and forget the rat race,
Let's fight not with swords but with the strength within.
None of us are as strong as all of us are,
We are the future of change,
Together we stand up for the city that's ours,
To secure it, and throw terror out of range.
The time's to speak up, not to remain mum,
Don't settle for mediocrity; make a big fuss,
Our agitation will bear fruit in the days to come,
Let's just keep the fire burning inside us.
